Billboard Fridays: Kanye West - Famous

Como vocês devem saber, o Kanye West lançou nesse ano o incrível The Life Of Pablo.
Clique acima pra ver.

Desiigner is still at the top of the Billboard Hot Rap Chart (and second on the Hot 100 chart, only behind Rihanna's Work) but this week's highlight goes to his label head, Kanye West. As you must know, Kanye released an album this year, the incredible The Life Of Pablo. In the beginning it was supposed to be released only on Tidal, the streaming service that Jay Z founded and in which Kanye is a shareholder. Def Jam wasn't too glad with that and more than a month after it's official release the album finally got to Apple Music, Spotify and other streaming services. When that happened The Life Of Pablo finally got the top spot on Billboard's Album Chart, more than a month after it's release, without selling physical copies and with over 70% of it's "sales" coming from streaming, which accounted to about 100 million streams of the album in one week. Those are accolades no other artist had before and fit to West's innovative spirit. Because of that, many Kanye West songs appeared on the charts, including the Rap Chart obviously, and he only didn't appear here last week because Drake's Pop Style charted even higher. Famous specifically was produced by a gang of producers (Kanye WestHavocNoah GoldsteinCharlie Heat, Andrew Dawson, Hudson Mohawke, Mike Dean and Plain Pat) like most of Kanye's modern songs and beside that it has vocals from Rihanna on the hook, adlibs from Swizz Beatz and a sick sample from Sister Nancy's Bam Bam. That's also the song in which Kanye controversially talked about maybe having sex with Taylor Swift one day because he made her famous, which prompted a response from Taylor when she won the Album Of The Year prize on this year's Grammy. With all that being said, it's a pretty cool song even though it's not the best from TLOP and, since it ain't got a video yet, you can listen to it above.
