Billboard Fridays: Bandit Gang Marco feat. Dro - Nasty

Wiz Khalifa is still on the top of both the Hot 100 and the Hot Rap Chart on Billboard but this week's highlight goes to Bandit Gang Marco. This year it seems that a lot of rappers are able to get straight to the Billboard charts without much experience in music (Fetty Wap, Silento, T-Wayne and Chedda Da Connect are other examples of this). What's even more curious is that the beat to Nasty, produced by FKi is the same one from Nasty Freestyle, by T-Wayne, which is right now on the third spot. Last year Bobby Shmurda jacked a Lloyd Banks beat and was able to transform it into a hit but I think it's the first time that two rappers do songs on the same beat and both appear on the Rap Chart. Apparently, Marco did it first, since T-Wayne's version is a freestyle, as it says on the name. Marco's flow reminds me a bit of both Rae Sremmurd (without the tecnicality) and OG Maco. The beat is some generic trap beat and to be honest, neither Marco's or T-Wayne's rapping over it is something I would call good. The best verse was definitelly done by Young Dro, which is an actual veteran on this rap shit. The video is that generic rap video so I won't even bother describing it but you can check it all above.
