Billboard Fridays: Childish Gambino - V. 3005

A liderança do top 25 de rap da Billboard continua com a Iggy Azalea, mas o destaque da semana vai pro Childish Gambino. O Childish Gambino é um rapper de Stone Mountain, na Georgia, que ficou realmente conhecido pelos seus trampos como ator. Ele é um comediante bem massa que já trampou na série Community, fez a voz de Marshall Lee no desenho Hora de Aventura, fez participação em Girls e no filme The To Do List. Enfim, ainda assim ele anda se dando melhor como o rapper Childish Gambino do que como o ator Donald Glover. Esse som dele, por exemplo, está desde o ano passado nas paradas de rap da Billboard, só que geralmente em posições mais elevadas e tal, por isso que só agora está sendo postada. Esse som em específico foi produzido pelo próprio Childish Gambino junto com o Stefan Ponce e o Ludwig Goransson e a produção é bem da hora, apesar de não ser uma musica pesada e tal. Ela é toda romanticazinha e tal, mas sei lá, apesar disso eu não a achei corny. Destaque mesmo vai pro video muito louco que conta com o Gambino numa roda gigante enquanto o mundo vai se desfazendo ao seu lado. This week's lead of the Billboard Hot Rap Charts is still with Iggy Azalea but this week's highlight goes out to Childish Gambino. He is a rapper from Stone Mountain, Georgia, that got known first for his work as an actor. He was one of the main characters of the comedy series Community, did the voice for the Marshall Lee character on Adventure Time, participated for 2 episodes of Girls' second season and was also on the movie The To Do List. Even though he is a really funny actor he is doing even better as a rapper than as an actor. This song, for example, is on the charts since the end of 2013. This song never appeared here yet because it stayed mostly on the end of the charts, but now it's on the 15th spot and turned into this week's highlight. This song was produced by Childish Gambino himself along with Stefan Ponce and Ludwig Goransson and the beat is pretty dope, even though the lyrics and the song's theme ain't hard at all. It's mostly a love song that tries not to tackle many cliches, so I found it pretty cool.
